Friday 24 January

It's rainy, so an inside/outside to do list is probably a good idea today...

Done:
  • got into farm clothes
  • emptied night buckets
  • let the geese out 
  • put in load of laundry #1 (my clothes)
  • harvested lettuce and snowpeas for breakfast
  • coffee, breakfast 
  • hung out load of laundry #1 (my clothes - in woodshed)
  • put in load of laundry #2 (delicates) 
  • hung out two loads of laundry (washed on Sunday, hung outside for a rain rinse) 
  • started updating Trello dashboard
  • picked up laundry in bathroom; put in load of laundry #3
  • deadheaded roses on arbour, put cuttings in trailer, soaked secateurs in boiling water to sterilise
  • hung out load of laundry #2 (delicates - in wood shed) 
  • empty bags of horse poo into #3
  • hung out load of laundry #3 (in wood shed/outside line)  
  • started Dan's 2020 portfolio, printed and filed dividers, Summer Camp brochure and layout
  • went down to Geeveston with Dan, did wizarding challenge, etc 
  • dug out the step next to Dan's east gate so it swings more smoothly
  • covered horse poo in #3 with more hay
  • did one tank's worth of brush cutting in the hay field 
  • weekly phone call with Nan; printed Hugh's Summer Camp brochure 
  • mucked out goose shed; asked Eric to add fresh bedding as I'm done
  • finished updating Trello dashboard, checked all our library accounts for overdue loans and placed some holds
To Do - Inside:
  • start new Brick House entry
  • make online portfolio entries for Summer Camp
  • start Hugh's 2020 portfolio
  • start 2019 reports, 2020 HESPs
  • put away Solstice stick
  • cook lentil spaghetti sauce for dinner
  • cook rice; make spinach rice pie
  • clean out my fridge, freeze black bananas/make banana cake
  • make rhubarb applesauce, and make some into chia puddings
To Do - Outside:
  • harvest silverbeet
  • harvest rhubarb
  • fix hoop houses, plant seedlings
  • throw ash around the young plum trees (use a ladder)
  • deadhead roses 
    • by Dan's cottage
    • in front garden
  • sheet mulch in top orchard 
  • block geese's access to the tomatoes in the courtyard with wire/netting
